Specializing Master in User Experience Psychology (UxP).
Introduction.
The Specializing Master in User Experience Psychology (UxP) trains students to develop the skills and competences for designing, developing and evaluating easy, efficient and engaging experiences for the user, by adopting a unique interdisciplinary perspective that combines in-depth technical and psychological knowledge.
A joint initiative of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Politecnico of Milano - POLI.design, the Specializing Master aims at forming professionals able to create and assess digital experiences across a range of platforms and in a wide spectrum of industrial domains, drawing on cutting-edge research and leading international experts in the field.
Goals.
The Specializing Master aims at helping participants pursue successful careers in UX, by identifying project works and field experiences that are best suited to their skillset and professional attitudes.
The goal of the training is to form professionals who are able to combine high-level competences in design (research, prototyping, conceptual development and evaluation) and the psychological ability of understanding user’s needs and expectations.
The course puts a strong emphasis on the acquisition of practical skills and is informed by state-of-the art developments in UX and user-centered design.

Description.
The Specializing Master offers more than 500 hours of in-class training, integrated by hands-on training, laboratory activities, field experiences, project-based work, team collaboration and attendance to seminars given by international guests, such as the UX Talks.
At the end of the Master, all students will have the opportunity to put their new knowledge and skills into practice through the consultancy project at one of the partner companies, which also provides a direct bridge with potential employers.
Training activities.
Teaching methodology followed during the Master will provide for:
- Theoretical-practical lessons;
- Thematic seminars;
- Exercises;
- Presentation, analysis and discussion of cases;
- Laboratory activities;
- Project work;
- Internship.
Training modules.
The program is structured in three core modules, which equip participants with professional skills required for designing, developing and evaluating experiences with digital products and services.
Admission.
Attendance is mandatory for at least 75% of class-time.
The renunciation of the course must be expressed in writing. Training period cannot be suspended for any reason. It is not possible to enroll simultaneously in a university Master's degree and in another course of study activated by another Italian university.
Admission requirement.
The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to understand how to create digital experiences that match users’ needs as well as a strong motivation to engage with a genuine interdisciplinary environment mixing design and psychology.
The Master is addressed to students who may have a background in Design, Psychology, Architecture, Engineering, Communication Design or a related degree.

- Non-EU citizens with a qualification obtained abroad
