    COURSE CONTENT.

    This course focusses on the reality and mechanisms of Made in Italy, the world-famous brand synonymous with quality, innovation, and style.

    Through a variety of media and practical exercises, participants will delve into the inner workings of Made in Italy, discovering the strategies and methodologies used by Italian brands and luxury businesses to improve success and increase value.

    The course is taught by experts in Italian fashion who are willing to share their experience and insider knowledge, and who guide participants in a range of activities including lectures, workshops, and field trips to key locations in Milan’s luxury fashion scene.

    MODULES INCLUDE.

    Made in Italy and Luxury Good System.

    A detailed examination of the importance and success of Made in Italy, including an analysis of its key players.

    Branding and Communication 4.0.

    A study of the value of brand experience in the luxury sector, as well as looking at how brands communicate their identity through new media channels.

    New Product Development and Merchandising.

    An analysis of the strategies used by fashion and luxury businesses to plan new products and develop successful merchandising plans. Focus will be placed on leather accessories: a key part of Italy’s luxury production market.

    EXTERNAL VISITS.

    Guided trips to important locations in Milan’s luxury fashion industry, including:

    - Montenapoleone area
    - Tortona area
    - Gae Aulenti area
    - Museums and exhibitions
    - Showrooms

    PROJECT WEEKS.

    Project work lasting one week in which groups complete an authentic industry-based project and present their final work for evaluation.

    IDEAL FOR:

    Those who would like to acquire a good understanding of the Italian luxury fashion system, such as fashion entrepreneurs, career changers, students, and professionals from various sectors of the fashion industry.

    DURATION AND SCHEDULE.

    The total duration is 150 hours over 10 weeks. Lessons are held from 10am – 1pm and from 2pm – 5pm.
