Module 0 (2 sessions): Orientation, Jan 17th
Welcome. Introduction of participants and program features. School tour.
Module 1 (20 sessions): Understanding Latin America, Jan 18th through Jan 31st
Region introduction. Demographics, political system, and strategic resources (commodities, energy, education). Relevant industries and commercial blocks. Imports and exports. Comparative analysis with other regions, regional country comparisons.
Module 2 (28 sessions): Doing Business in Latin America, Feb 4th through Feb 21st
Conditions, opportunities and constraints for business development in the region. Funding sources and variations over time. Local and international financial institutions and funding partners. Marketing: winning strategies for effective positioning and targeting.
Module 3 (20 sessions): Valuation in Latin America, Feb 25th through Mar 11th
Participants will be required to assess the value of a public company. For doing so, they will have to collect, analyze and validate public data, estimating future cash flows and discount rates to reach a final value for the company, using and supporting their own assumptions and previsions.
